Squat Series with Loop & Yoga Block (Barre): 1999 (R3HAB Remix) (Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, R3HAB)

We had a request for some yoga block fun, so here you go!


Focus: Glutes, Side Glutes

Breakdown: This track is a great quick learn! We introduce the series in Block 1 and we repeat it in Block 2. It's that simple! The turn around is quick, so cut a few reps from the end of the last move and don't stress if you miss a few on the first move of the second side!

Equipment Modifications: You don't need either of these pieces of equipment, but they definitely add to it if you've got them! The loop will add resistance so if you don't have one, you will want to coach your members to find the top of their range in the lift. If you don't have a yoga block, lift the outside heel during the squat instead for an 80/20 Squat.

Options:

  • Single Leg Squat: If this is too spicy for some of your members, ditch the yoga block and have them work on 2 feet. When you add the side lift, they can simply point the foot to the side and return it back underneath.
